Established in 1977, Vinfen is a private, nonprofit human services organization and is a leading mental health provider in Massachusetts. Each year, Vinfen provides a comprehensive array of services to children, youths and adults with psychiatric, developmental and behavioral disabilities. Vinfen’s 2,000 dedicated employees are experienced, highly trained professionals who provide a full range of educational, rehabilitative, and clinical services in more than 350 programs throughout eastern Massachusetts and northern Connecticut.



A place Kim can finally call “home”
When Kim was 11-years old, her parents, Eugenia and David, sent her to a private school serving individuals with special needs. Kim has complex health issues—a congenital heart defect and one functioning kidney—plus bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.  At first, were delighted with the residential program. They thought their prayers had been answered.

Vinfen Celebrates 30th Anniversary in Style

Vinfen’s 30th Anniversary celebration finished up in dramatic style with a two-hour Gala Reception that featured music, art, moving testimonials and awards for two very special people, Bernie Carey and Gerry Morrissey. About 250 people attended the festivities, which were emceed by WBZ-TV news anchor David Wade.
