Vinfen serves approximately 1,800 people annually with acute care, residential, respite, and day programs. Vinfen also assists more than 3,000 people each year through crisis-intervention services. The people we serve are adults and children, ranging from the severely disabled to those functioning in society at relatively high levels.
We help the neediest members of our society. We often help people whom nobody else can or will help, sometimes because of financial limitations. We take people who once would have been institutionalized and provide them with an integrated, holistic set of services to help transform their lives and those of their families, neighbors and communities.
Consumer & Family Feedback
We regularly solicit feedback from our consumers and their families. Our last “satisfaction” survey in 2003 showed 84 percent of respondents were satisfied with Vinfen’s service delivery, while 93 percent of their families reported satisfaction. We’re always striving to get better, but we’re heartened to know that we’re on the right track.
Real Stories
Whom do we serve? It’s people like Moe Armstrong, Jessel-Paul S., Semira R., and Richard M., whose stories are below. These people are not invisible. They are our family members, friends, colleagues, and fellow citizens. They represent a productive component of our society with extraordinary potential to do good and to do well.
Gone are the days, we hope, when society turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to its most vulnerable citizens. At Vinfen, our eyes and ears are wide open and our hands and hearts are extended in service to others.
These success stories are made possible by Vinfen’s dedicated staff and volunteers. Here are some of their stories:
