
Elizabeth K. Glaser, Chief Operating Officer
Elizabeth K. Glaser, M.B.A. was formerly Vice President of Clinical Services at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a position she held for 5 years. In her role, Ms Glaser was a member of the executive team responsible for setting and executing the strategy of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She was also responsible for the clinical operations of the Departments of Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Primary Care, Psychiatry, Neurology and Dermatology.
During her 14 year tenure, Ms. Glaser has held a variety of positions within the Partners HealthCare System. Prior to her current position, Ms. Glaser served as the Corporate Director, Administration and Management, Partners Psychiatry and Mental Health. Ms Glaser was responsible for creating the requisite infrastructure to support the integration of psychiatry and mental health services across the Partners system. During her tenure, Ms Glaser also worked at the North Shore Medical Center as a Senior Vice President of Physician Services and Managed Care and helped build the managed care operations for Partner’s physician network. Elizabeth’s healthcare career also included several positions at the New England Deaconess Hospital system. Prior to her long career in health care, she worked as a consultant for McKinsey and Company, Inc. in Chicago.
Ms. Glaser has been involved in a number of non-profit activities. She currently serves on the Board of The National Center on Family Homelessness, the nation’s foremost authority on family homelessness and the only national organization dedicated solely to helping homeless families. Previously, she had served on the Board of the Hazelden Foundation, a leading national provider of a full continuum of addiction services, for which she was the Chair of the Finance Committee. Her other significant outside activities have included serving as a Fund Director and the Chair for Bowdoin College’s Annual Fund.
She received her graduate degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Subsequently, Ms. Glaser was awarded the Harman Fellowship at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government where she researched organizational design and service quality at Boston’s Beth Israel Hospital. Ms. Glaser earned her undergraduate degree cum laude from Bowdoin College, Brunswick, ME.
