Ken Duckworth, M.D., has served as Medical Director of Vinfen since2005. He is triple board certified in adult, child and adolescent, and forensic psychiatry, and a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Duckworth teaches at Harvard Medical School and the Boston University School of Public Health., and is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Duckworth is also Medical Director for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). |

He has held many positions in clinical and leadership roles, including serving as the medical director and then acting commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health and, before that, as medical director of Massachusetts Mental Health Center for five years. Dr. Duckworth has received numerous awards and honors for clinical excellence and has authored papers on a variety of psychiatric issues.
In May of 2008, Dr. Duckworth discussed depression as part of a panel of experts moderated by broadcast journalist Jane Pauley on a PBS special, Take One Step: Caring for Depression, with Jane Pauley.
