Sure, we receive certain state and federal grants to run our existing programs, but it’s not nearly enough. Your tax-deductible donations enable us to enhance these existing services while creating new initiatives and services that are desperately needed.
Transforming lives is very serious business, so we never use telemarketing, fund-raising companies, or other gimmicks to raise needed funds. We simply use the truth of our mission and invite you to be part of helping those we serve.

Donors may give to Vinfen generally or identify a particular service or group of services that they would like their gifts to support. Donations are always acknowledged in writing and placed in restricted accounts for the purposes intended by the donor.
Services for Children
Donors often designate funds to support services for children and adolescents. For example, donors have funded our School Community Consultation and Treatment Program, which helps children with mental illness and behavioral issues in 25 Boston public schools.
Arts-Based Services
Other donors focus on our arts programming. Whether it’s the nationally acclaimed arts programs at Gateway Arts or art produced by clubhouse members at Webster House, donors can find meaningful ways to support the therapeutic role of the arts. These programs demonstrate vividly that disability is no barrier to creating artwork of the highest level.

Memorial Gifts
This is a wonderful way to remember a loved one and to create a legacy in an individual’s name. Memorial gifts may be designated to benefit a particular service, perhaps one with which your loved one was associated.
Securities and In-Kind Donations
We also welcome gifts of securities and in-kind donations, such as items that can be used by people in our programs. These include furniture, bedding, art supplies, etc.
