Webster Clubhouse Hosts Opening Reception for Upside Down

Vinfen’s Webster Clubhouse held the Opening Reception for their newest exhibition, Upside Down, on May 31 at their location in Roslindale, MA. The exhibit featured paintings, drawings, prints, and mixed media artwork relating thematically to the hit Netflix TV show, Stranger Things.

Many artists, staff, and community supporters came out for the event, and the artists had a fabulous time discussing their inspiration and style with those in attendance. Guests were treated to live music by pianist Carolyn Wilkins, who is the mother of Upside Down featured artist and Webster Clubhouse member Sarah Wilkins. Sarah’s collection of portraits inspired by Stranger Things served as the inspiration for the exhibit.

“It was an unusual theme for an art show, but really creative,” said one longtime clubhouse member.

Couldn’t make it to the reception? No problem! The exhibit will remain on view through August 31.
