Vinfen Passion Inside and Outside the Office

The passion Vinfen staff have for their work does not stop at the end of business hours. Many of our staff participate in volunteer opportunities to continue to help those in need.

One of our most dedicated staff is Vinfen Atlantic Clubhouse Program Director Janette Tibets who is also a volunteer Family-to-Family facilitator for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). NAMI provides a 12-week course for family caregivers that serves as a resource for insight, coping skills, and a collaborative support system. Family-to-Family is taught by those who can relate on a personal level and these volunteers are trained by NAMI Mass, following the best practices established by NAMI National.

Janette wanted to host and make this resource available with hopes of getting families more involved with their loved ones who have a psychiatric condition. Janette shared that bringing this meeting to Atlantic Clubhouse has also showcased the Clubhouse’s wonderful program to families who are searching for help and/or services.

Janette shared, “families are able to join us up to week 3 and then the class is closed. Last week we enrolled 7 people, and I am expecting 2 new people for tonight’s class.”

With a growing presence, Janette is excited and thoroughly enjoys working with families. Janette, having personal experience with family members with psychiatric conditions, feels that she is truly making a difference and enjoys helping others.
